Training Programmes Organised

Conducting training programmes for in-service government officers has been another significant activity of the Institute. Several such programmes for senior officers of the government have been organized. These are either one week or two weeks programme and have dealt mostly with optimum utilization of resources veering on economic and environmental analysis of major developmental projects. Most of the training programs have been sponsored by the respective ministries of the Government of India. Faculties for the programme consist of Institute faculty as well as guest faculty. The programmes have generally been conducted in the Seminar Hall of the Institute which is well equipped for the purpose. A list of such programs is given below:

  • Training Programme for Senior Officers of CGWB on “Orientation Course on Economic Aspects” from 22 to 26 February, 2010. The programme was sponsored by the Central Ground Water Board (CGWB), Ministry of Water Resources, Government of India, New Delhi.
  • Special Training Programme for IAS Officers on “Integrating Social, Economic and Environmental Impacts of Large Infrastructural Projects” from December 17 to 21, 2007. The programme was sponsored by the Department of Personnel and Training (DOPT) of Govt. of India, New Delhi.
  • Special Training Programme for IAS Officers on “Methodologies for Integrating Social, Economic and Environmental Impacts of Large Infrastructural Projects” from December 18 to 22, 2006. The programme was sponsored by the Department of Personnel and Training (DOPT) of Govt. of India, New Delhi.
  • One week Training Course on Economic Analysis of Urban Infrastructure for Chief Engineers and Superintending Engineers of CPWD, Government of India, from February 13 to 17, 2006. The course was sponsored by CPWD, Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India.
  • One day Training Programme on Community Approach to Flood Management in Bhagawangola-II, District Murshidabad, West Bengal on February 27, 2004, in Sonai, District Cachar , Assam on March 12, 2004 and in Warisnagar, District Samastipur, Bihar on March 16, 2004
  • One week Training Course on Economic Analysis of Urban Infrastructure for Chief Engineers and Superintending Engineers of CPWD, Government of India from December 15 to 19, 2003. The course was sponsored by CPWD, Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India.
  • Two weeks Training Course on Economic Analysis of Infrastructural Projects for Indian Economic Service Probationers from August 11 to 22, 2003. The course was sponsored by Ministry of Finance, Government of India.
  • One week Training Course on Economic Analysis of Urban Infrastructure for Chief Engineers and Superintending Engineers of CPWD, Government of India from January 6 to 10, 2003. The course was sponsored by CPWD, Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India.
  • Two weeks Training Course on Economic Analysis of Irrigation Projects for middle level officers of Government of India and State Governments, at Institute's premises from March 11 to 22, 2002. The Course was sponsored by Central Water Commission, Ministry of Water Resources, Government of India.
  • Two weeks Training Course on Economic Analysis of Irrigation Projects for middle level officers of Government of India and State Governments, at Institute's premises from February 11 to 22, 2002. The Course was sponsored by Central Water Commission, Ministry of Water Resources, Government of India.
  • Two weeks Training Course on Economic Analysis of Irrigation Projects for middle level officers of Government of India and State Governments, at Institute's premises from February 19 to March 2, 2001. The Course was sponsored by Central Water Commission, Ministry of Water Resources, Government of India.
  • Two weeks Training Course on Economic Analysis of Irrigation Projects for middle level officers of Government of India and State Governments, at Institute's premises from September 18 to 29, 2000. The Course was sponsored by Central Water Commission, Ministry of Water Resources, Government of India.
